Design is a collaborative process.  We believe that successful design is the result of having a comprehensive understanding of the project goals and expectations.  Through the use of a Collaborative Planning and Design Process (CPDP), a planning committee is assembled to participate in various workshops and meetings to discuss the relevant criteria related to the project such as: scope, function, context, aesthetics, environment, budget and scheduling.

The benefits of the CPDP are that (1) it builds consensus, (2) it develops a strong sense of ownership of the design, and (3) it develops a clear understanding of the project goals and expectations.  Though aggressive listening, careful planning, technical expertise, and creative exploration of design alternatives, we develop design concepts that address the specific needs of the user, that are sensitive and responsive to the immediate surroundings, and buildable within the owner budget and schedule.
